I love all the celebrity chef interviews. As a Food Network freak, its nice to see them outside the kitchen. Im sure many in this grumpy WTF community will disagree and to you I say, FREE PODCAST! Skip the ones you dont want to hear!

Maron always warns about people skipping the monologue and going right to the interview. While I’ve always listened from beginning to end, I feel like i’m starting to feel the opposite. The monologue has the good stuff, this lady was hard to get through. Maybe it’s just me.

I can relate to where you’re coming from, schmeltzman. However, while I’m much more engaged when Marc is talking with a comic, actor, or musician, WTF is a more rewarding experience when Marc introduces us to unfamiliar people. I remember someone comparing the podcast to Charlie Rose; that makes sense to me, but WTF is better.

This woman is intolerable. All she wants Marc to know is that she can cook and is “New YorK.” She lets us know that she grew up with a doorman, likes Times Square and that prosciutto is measured in “hunks.”

This was one of the better, non-comedian shows. I am a chef. I dont really watch food shows. But after listening to this, I am going to look her up. It seems interesting to contrast her accused bitchiness on TV to her personable interview on this podcast. The story of her eating the French Presidents crab claw in the can are hilarious…and relatable. Good stuff. Thanks, Marc!

Very good discussion. I had no idea who Alexandra was before hearing this. She has an excellent voice for radio. Maybe she could do a food show on NPR or something so that us insufferable anti-TV freaks can enjoy her more.
