Episode 239 - Josh Blue

Josh Blue knows he’s called “the comedian with cerebral palsy” by other comics. In fact, he knows it’s a hell of a hook. Marc finds out how Josh’s comedy transcends his condition, as well as equally fascinating things about his upbringing in Africa, his soccer playing for the U.S. Paralympic team and his thoughts on Last Comic Standing. I remember playing soccer with Josh in the park years ago. Because of his CP affecting the way he ran, passed, stopped, I have to admit to being annoyed by his game. Seems like Marc couldn’t accept him as a complete human being either during the interview. It’s a shame that a physical oddity makes it more difficult to see the person (who is obviously funny, original and quite intelligent) behind it.

Is it just me, or does this Josh fellow seem like a right awesome bastard? Good head on his shoulders, this chap.

Funny how the most damaged (his disability) comedian is actually the least, if not at all, fucked up human being.

Great episode Marc!  Officially a Josh Blue fan now.

I can see why this guy has such a loyal following; he’s got an incredibly level head on his shoulders.

Maron, as always, remains clueless and tactless (I’m not complaining! That’s entertainment).

Well, we got the bimbo show out of the way, I guess we can move on to the more substantive interviews until next year.

Josh made Marc laugh more in this interview than just about any other interview I’ve heard Marc do.  That was impressive.  I will have to catch Josh the next time he’s in town.

Big fan of WTF’s but this was the first one that made me laugh out loud the whole way through.

His line about it being the worst ‘make-a-wish’ ever at his audition. Deadly.

Well done.

The data that they have supplied is so good. There is so much that you can get from it. I see such a great future coming from this. I really lobe the idea so much.
