Mike Birbiglia’s intro was priceless. Very strange hearing those words spoken by someone other than Marc. Also in honor of #200 buying the new album and finally going to get WTF premium. Can’t wait for the next 200.

Ted August 11, 2011 at 8:49 am

Congratulations on once again creating another great piece of comedy! The new CD is f- genius as expected.

chris August 11, 2011 at 9:49 am

Marc,
This podcast is great. Can’t wait to check out this episode. Congratulations

Darren August 11, 2011 at 10:07 am

Fantastic show! Congratulations on 200. I bought the album Tuesday and that was great. Between the podcasts and your life in the last two years, there’s a one-man show in there somewhere.

KateM August 11, 2011 at 11:06 am

That was so fucken’ good !!!!

Thanks guys - really - really interesting interview

MeMeMe August 11, 2011 at 11:50 am

Isn’t Marc taking Mike on a trip, rather than vice-versa?  Not to be “that guy” ...

Jackie August 11, 2011 at 1:12 pm

Congrats on 200 episodes, Marc! Another excellent one this time. It was really cool to hear you as the one in the hot seat. Thanks for letting us have you as the voice inside our heads every Mon. and Thurs. WTF never ceases to move and entertain me.

WhattheFuckski August 11, 2011 at 2:24 pm

Happy 200, Marc! That was a very intriguing episode. It was lively and revealing having the tables turned. I’m also looking forward to your next 200 and hope to catch a live show the next time you’re in the Boston area. Also, I was disappointed you edited out, “Come back, Gallagher!” That always cracks me up.

Slickleg August 11, 2011 at 3:43 pm

brilliant ep !! the “credits music”. fantastic.

Scott August 11, 2011 at 4:27 pm

Great one, Marc.  Here’s to 200+ more.

“Aw, come on, Gallagher”.  Every time I think about that I laugh.

“Aw, come on, Gallagher”.  Ha-ha-ha!!!

James August 11, 2011 at 5:21 pm

What a thrilling episode! Could not have possibly put a greater show together for the 200th, gratz Marc!

Brian August 11, 2011 at 6:13 pm

Awesome interview and a great way to celebrate the 200th episode of the best fuckin podcast around! Congrats and keep doing the big work. Do it!

Chris Taylor August 11, 2011 at 6:52 pm

Right fuckin’ on man!  Props to Mike Birbiglia, not only for a good interview, but also for coming prepared and not pussing out on some of the tougher questions!  I subscribed for your podcast when it first came out and listened to an episode and then forgot about it, but every since I was in the studio audience at the infamous Conan show where you invited him to your garage (and subsequently the same show you talked about your current love interest taking pictures of her vagina with her phone), I have been a constant listener.  Your show has made my love of stand-up comedy that much richer and the insight we all gain into your guests because of you is truly inspiring.  Keep up the good work man, and don’t run out of guests anytime soon.  Happy 200th!

Annie August 11, 2011 at 8:56 pm

That was a great episode Marc. You are always so honest, and I love that about you, and your show;)
Congrats on the 200th episode!

Brandon Campbell August 11, 2011 at 9:56 pm

This is the episode I’ve been waiting to hear since day one. My favorite episode.

Joe Tily August 12, 2011 at 2:24 am

Marvelous 200th episode - I loved the way you turned it around on yourself and Mike was a perfect choice to be the interviewer - really, really enjoyed this one. Looking forward to the next 200 !!

Zach August 12, 2011 at 4:29 am

I have to say it was perfect, it was not only the perfect episode of WTF for me, it was also the perfect podcast. I laughed, i cried (literally) and i laughed while crying. i ran the emotional roller coaster, and that montage at the end hit the spots of my heart that only watching old family movies tends to reach. Keep being honest man it keeps us the masses sane, just know that if you ever stop people will just start drowning their babies, now have that thought over your head.

junque shoppe August 12, 2011 at 8:24 am

i’ve listened to every show, in order, as they came out, and would like to claim my prize.
—great work and thanks for ‘doing it’. i heard you on the sound of young america talking about starting a podcast & have been on board ever(y) since. i like it when your differing accents emerge with different guests & would love to have you as a guest on my show, if i had one. you are loved. deal with it.

Crate&Trauma; August 12, 2011 at 9:28 am

Congrats on 200 Marc!

Crate&Trauma; August 12, 2011 at 9:35 am

By the way did you catch the latest episode of Louie?

I couldn’t help but think that the Eddie character played by Doug Stanhope was at least partially based on your real life relationship with Louis CK.

elnino August 12, 2011 at 2:26 pm

Fantastic 200th episode.  Really enjoyed Mike Birbiglia’s approach of prep / questions.  Congratulations on 200 episodes!

K August 12, 2011 at 4:11 pm

Your podcast does for me what you needed back when you were troubled. The shields are coming down. Been a fan for 10 years and and your voice has helped me realize and articulate my own challenges. Absolutely great 200th episode, congratulations on all the success! Much love from a former regular at Cobbs and Punchline in SF, now streaming you weekly in Norway.

Dan August 12, 2011 at 6:09 pm

Freakin great 200th podcast . Well every day but god damn was #200 great! Glad you seem to be finding how to be happy. Your podcast has become my favorite over the last year or so.

Anyone that’s been listening since the beginning can appreciate this episode for just how much Maron has grown as a person since starting this joyride.

Keep it the fuck up Marc.

James August 13, 2011 at 7:23 am

Truly excellent.  Great work all around.

Andy August 13, 2011 at 10:07 pm

Looking forward to another 200 + hours of listening.  Especially happy to hear Marc say he wants to interview more Black comics.  I’d love to hear an interview with Chappelle.

Matt August 14, 2011 at 12:12 pm

Great episode, Mike thank you for doing all of that leg work for questions.

So honest, so brilliant.  I love you, Marc.

Congrats not only on the 200th episode, and the sobriety, but for an incredible career.  (Wow, that sounds like a valediction.  Keep it coming!)

Corey G Dimond August 15, 2011 at 9:13 pm

Jesus Marc, I have the exact same relationship problems.  I wish I was funny.

jameslogan August 16, 2011 at 6:08 pm

i really don’t know why, but I actually got a little teary eyed once the clips from past shows started playing… it was like maron had just died or something.
this episode was really, really great and if anything just reminded me how WTF actually changed my life - because before it, the only podcast I really had ever downloaded regularly was gervais… WTF opened the insanely awesome world of US (mainly LA) podcasts up to me, and because of WTF i now have NO FREE TIME as i have about 10 hours of podcasting to listen to every fucking day. so thanks, marc. thanks a bunch.
also - the line about not creating shit in your head and then freaking out as if it was reality? that is my life in a nutshell. and, i’m sure, 99% of the fuckups that love this podcast like I do.

James August 17, 2011 at 12:58 pm

My favorite ep yet.
took a lot of keepers away from this one.
Thanks Marc, and Mike
