Really looking forward to this ep. I have a Maronesque openmindedness/distrust of this star’s persona. Vaughn’s an interesting fella. Thanks, Marc.

Right in front of him, Vince Vaughn stole Marc’s old-dad bit!

Smitty May 29, 2014 at 5:00 pm

this is quite tangential , but Jane Seymour is beyond celestial…!

As someone possessing zero respect in Vaughn as an actor and especially as a writer, and I have a hard time imagining you sitting down to watch the Internship, the fact you could pull this off as professionally as you did is further proof with how much of a better person you are, at least compared to me.

“I want you to take it easy on my friend Marc.” I’m going to use that one in the future. Great stuff.

Loved the interview. It’s the best interview you could get, considering the circumstances. Also, I don’t think Vince stole that old-dad bit. It’s a very common concern amongst childless older people.

But by god, the wooo-ing…

That intro was HILARIOUS. :-D Great form!

these “one on ones” in front of a crowd are awkward.  it can work with a bunch of comics who know why they are there,so there is no ambiguity as to what the tone will be. i wonder if there ever is any kind of pre-interview, to go over what is going to,or may happen.  perhaps, you just wing it,or maybe you sit down and say,“lets make it look like we’re just winging it”. i’m neither judging nor at all insinuating, that there is any right way to do this.  i only speculate, because i’m curious. it’s often hard to tell if someone is genuinely pissed off,or if it’s just part of the “stage schtick”.

Great interview under difficult circumstances. For a variety of reasons, including my own shit, I really enjoyed this interview. You were really on in front of that crowd. I used to dislike Vince, but I understand him a little better now. Competitive swimming is a sport man, don’t be so hard on yourself about sports.
