great job of steering Todd Glass away from the perpetual coming-out-of-the-closet “revelation” and back toward the actual reason why he wanted to make an appearance on your show

I would love to sit near that guy while he talks to friends/family:
“And there was the guilt, oh so much guilt, you know, and whenever I talk about it I get all flustered—not as much as before, but it happens- I get all red faced and clammy just to think about that moment when I confessed it, and
(two hours later)
it’s just like a huge corpse fell off my shoulders and I can be free and be me without the burdensome—”
“Dude… -.-  ....I liked you so much more when you were in the closet.”
Aasif was awesome. I laughed my ass off at his improvised Shakespeare lines.

I’m really looking forward to the Lorne Michaels interview on Monday, Marc! Episode 500 will really mean something. Your 5 year buildup will really pay off, I’m sure! xoxo

Robert May 22, 2014 at 9:20 pm

You sure it’s Lorne? I fucking hope so that would be amazing! Like the birbigs episode of a reverse interview or something. I can’t wait to see who it is!

You have to ask? Chances are better that we’ll get Spalding Gray or Andy Kaufman.

I won’t bother looking it up now but there was a good survey done among sample of the Muslim world about a year after 911 and the overall gist of it had far more than 20% either fully backing terror attacks or to some kind of clear support. One question/answer choice was along the lines of ‘Do NOT support Al Quaida but sympathize with their goals’ saw a huge supporting response. If you included the respondents who insisted 911 was done by Israel then you got well over 50%.
the study might be here:

Point being - I have no idea why he is scoffing away at the ‘racist lady’ (and forgetting his math) but yes that 1-in-5 in the world (not USA) is absolutely well conservative given what we know.

Also. yes actually the poorly worded ‘Poor people need to stop being poor’ isn’t a ‘gotcha’ but in fact that is absolutely exactly common sense perfectly correct given the intended meaning which is:
The goal is for people with no money (poor people like me) to solve the problem by earning much more money.
It’s you guys who pretended that the guy actually believed poor people could somehow just ‘not be poor’ (by willing it).
Are you so stupid to believe that was his actual meaning?
Yes.. he actually thought poor people can just say “okay time to not be poor” when the very realistic and true meaning is actually THE best and greatest solution.
You want poor people to ‘stop being poor’. Seriously.. you really do. Poor people also want to ‘not be poor anymore’. It’s good.

and finally I was creeped out by Todd Glass discussing think-speak and how it happens by some left-wing liberal ‘enlightenment’ as we ‘evolved to higher beings’ etc. And congrats to him he loves gay sex with other gay dudes. I don’t know if it’s really an accomplishment though.

Seek help, Justin.

Justin May 23, 2014 at 7:09 pm

JR, i seek and editor.

Ashby May 24, 2014 at 6:05 pm

Justin, seek help. As in assistance. As in assisted suicide. Just to ensure your success.

Justin May 26, 2014 at 2:41 am

Ashby, it’s great to see you want to help kill people who have opinions that make you uncomfortable but I’m really helping you. I’m helping you get armed with poorly-worded knowledge, facts presented in poor sentence structure and you should thank me.

Truth is - solving poor peoples problems is, absolutely, ideally, without a doubt and in all good and righteous intentions to..  stop poor people being poor people. Seriously. It’s the goal. It ought to be your ideal.

Truth is - out of 1 billion Muslims about 1/5th of them would like to see, help or applaud you, me and Marc Maron being destroyed. Seriously. That’s a statistical report and it’s also something I can report from a much more worldly life experience than yours.

But you know..  hopefully I just kill myself so you don’t have to be bothered with ‘hearing stuff that made you feel bad’.

Justin *still* hasn’t killed himself?

“I know, right?!!!” Possibly the dorkiest, most smug and annoying phrase currently in circulation.

Ashby, go kill yourself.

And bleedingears, you might want to get those ears checked for a serious head injury. Oh fuck it, just kill yourself.
