Marc, thanks for interviewing John Darnielle! His songs have a lot of personal value to me, and it was gratifying to hear his story within the WTF format. Previous to the interview I only knew his story threw his albums.

My favorite way to listen to The Mountain Goats is via desert road trips. If you’re driving for days across the southwest or the California desert the dramatic landscape makes for great scenery, and the dry wind will keep the tears off your face.

Brilliant, brilliant interview.

John was right despite himself, he was thinking of Ernie Roth, the Grand Wizard of Wrestling. It does sound Klan-y.

What can I say, probably my favorite WTF so far.. yet I can’t help but feel like we barely scratched the surface, a lot was left unsaid.. Marc if you read this, get him in for another talk sometime!

Come on man. I need you to admit to me publicly what is “program” info. Yeah, I promote indie music, I’m a good guy. They do sponsor me. Aww, f*ck maybe I am only thinking about the bottom line and not dying broke as I discussed with Eddie. Maybe I am a Barbara Walters/ National Enquirer type of relatively unknowns but, now I’m getting “Don Draper” and other people who I will kiss their mythical feet except of course that Chelsea Handler. I snapped on her and her lavish lifestyle. Yeah, I’m of the people…. Is that a choice or situational? Boomer lives

Huh this thread sure got weird.

Thanks for interviewing one of my favorite musicians, I absolutely loved the conversation. Can’t wait until Thursday to hear your interview with another favorite of mine, E.

Amazing interview.  One of my faves and I have listened to nearly everything.  Keep up the great work, Marc!  Love what you are doing.
