Episode 357 - Gary Gulman

Comedian Gary Gulman short circuits Marc’s brain with his rare breed of athletic Semitism. The two of them talk about performing in Boston, the empowering camaraderie of comics, the soul-crushing discouragement of development deals and the power of comedy to soothe heartbreak. Wait, where’s my 10K?  I must be doing something wrong.  Every time I break up with a man, I have to pay and pay and pay!!  I don’t have any kids, I’ve never driven a vehicle, and supported my man financially the whole time (only three).  I cook great food and my men have gained an average of 60+ lbs!  I guess I’m just a stupid low-self-esteem bitch who ain’t gonna get anything back.  I don’t believe in heaven so no reward there. I’m ready to die now at 50 (please, please just let me die now).  My arthritis and skeleton is shot.  At least I’m a comedy nerd.  At least there’s that.  Thank you, Mark for giving me therapy.  I can’t get it otherwise because I have a Top Secret Clearance and no help is allowed.

For the record, Ziggy DOES still exist and I am a HUGE fan, which I have been since I was 8 (in 1978). I get a daily Ziggy comic via email every day from “” - sometimes written by the original artist, Tom Wilson, and sometimes by his son, Tom Wilson II.  He is definitely the ultimate well-intended, but pathetically-lived soul.
