loved the dynamic on this one.  do a buddy movie together!

MuddyG January 09, 2012 at 1:45 pm

These two definitely had some nuggets of wisdom and truth, but I found their schtick tiresome and a bit of a put-on. The funny thing is, it’s probably all true, but they just have it down to such a routine it rings false.

MuddyG January 09, 2012 at 1:47 pm

Oops. Wrong episode. This was meant for Annabelle Gurwitch and Jeff Kahn.

Is it my imagination, or was Maron talking down to this unfunny, red faced, girl-laughing, frat boy drunken clown all throughout the interview.

Catseye January 10, 2012 at 2:56 pm

Well, that was intense.  I’m unfamiliar with the Machine’s act, I’ll have to check him out on YT.  Hope he doesn’t always talk so fast, otherwise I’ll miss some of his act!

Ghastly Foo January 10, 2012 at 8:35 pm

Wow, this guy is loathsome.

Eric R January 11, 2012 at 4:38 am

This guy is really disgusting, I hate him.

Steve Hatchett January 11, 2012 at 12:03 pm

Dug it. No angst. No navel gazing. No second guessing. Head first into the pool! Live or die!

Jimmy January 11, 2012 at 12:06 pm

Yeah Marc definitely didn’t like this guy.  I felt like you could hear his old, resentful self talking most of the show.

“...Now you just get confused, jappy fashion choices.”

That’s our Marc!

tedious from the word GO… Anybody who thinks they’re funny because they’re drunk is deluded.

Peter lighten the fuck up

I couldn’t get through this one - the most uninteresting and unoriginal guest yet . . . . hey, a lot of us partied like mad and took loads of drugs when we were younger. So boring. ‘The Machine’ - sheeesh, give me a break . . . .

Jeff January 12, 2012 at 9:38 am

Welcome back angry Marc! People you have no respect for (rightfully so here) really bring out the Maron of old in you. Fucking hilarious.

I love how people take their own feelings and put them in as Marc’s like they actually know the fucking guy.  He wasn’t too curt, and he engaged well and was completely friendly.  And the old stories of them knowing each other kind of negate the hatred you all somehow felt.

Quit trying to live vicariously through Marc.  You all look like fucking tools when you act like you’re buds with the guy.

The thing I like most about Bert is how genuine he is. If you ever heard his appearance on O+A when Henry Winkler came in studio and listening to him completely lose it over meeting the Fonz is not just funny, it’s how he reacts to things exactly how everyone wants to respond. You can tell he’s excited to be where he’s at, but at the same time understands how lucky he is. Also, his laugh is probably the best or 2nd best one ever.

THE MACHINE!

How can you clueless fucks hate on Bert? He is seriously awesome and one of the nicest comics in the business. This was an enjoyable listen.

All you Maron fanboys need to climb down off your pedestals and understand that there are other comedian’s assholes you can climb up into. FREAKS!

Bonezone, Olive Garden and positive energy.
