Doesn’t Stamps.Com put people out of work, like postal carriers? Just wondering…

Rick December 15, 2011 at 3:20 pm

I heard kevin name off 97 celebrity names during this podcast.

ProLabor,

Doesn’t the internet make the telegram-delivery industry seem sadly antiquated?  Cars did the same thing to horses and I look forward to seeing what eliminates the necessity for cars.  It’s not that I don’t care about people becoming unemployed when time marches.  I’m just fascinated by evolution.

ProLabor - Quite the opposite. Stamps.com is a licensed vendor of the USPS - http://www.stamps.com/company-info/usps/. At a time when a vital service and job creator like the USPS is under attack by government forces that wish to privatize mail delivery, WTF is happy to endorse Stamps.com as a product.

O my fucking God what a great guy, great interview, great insights. Always loved Kevin Pollak—as a stand-up first and only secondly as a great filmic second banana.

“. . . hey Joe, whats with the green fuckin’ bananas? . . .”

Fantastic interview with Kevin Pollack!!  Great stories about Rickles & Deniro, Rich Little, how Steve Martin did him a solid on the set up for his Lenny Bruce homage at Carnegie.  Gonna listen to this one several times.  And the kicker was you pleading with Boomer on the outro.  “Is it my tone?!?”  Priceless!!!

Kuliakan December 22, 2011 at 4:44 pm

I understand Kevin’s desire to play a comedy lead but I think one of the funniest lines ever done on screen belongs to him. In the Usual Suspects, NYPD investigator confronts Hockney (Pollack’s character) during the interrogation and asks “Do you know what happens if you do another turn in the joint?”
And Kevin thinks for half-a-second and says “Fuck your father in the shower and then have a snack?” . Brilliant.

Kevin is one of best impersonators and a really fine actor but I didn’t know any more than that about him, so thanks for showing us more about this great talent
